Today was a major step as the trailer got its sign work and a coat of paint ( in the other order) and I worked out a cheep way of powering the Airship Pirates.

This is #4 and I am well on the way to building the display trailer .
I have decided to put about 4 small Automata across the back of it that can be used by the public,so #5 that only needs a coat of clear is to be 1 of these 4.
#5 will be posted as soon as I can get it finished and a video made.
Better explain the Display Trailer to you.
The fact of life these days is that folks that visit the Eumundi Market are not spending like they did in the old days so all the Automata that I build will be on display and not 4 sale, I plan to ask them to pay to have a look like an old time show.
That way I keep the Automata and sell it every week at the same time.

#4 almost finished

Well 1 of the first I ever started is just about finished .
Tis a bloke on a scooter/ bike with his dog.
The reason that it has taken this long was getting my head around the A: getting him to ride around and for the dog to follow him with it's head and wag it's tail when he got close .
After about 9 goes at it , it all came down to 1 simple drive cog . Dam don't you just hate that?
So kiss method is the best Keep It Simple Stupid.
Just now will check if I put # 3 on here.

Dam my Camera

My Camera can take very nice photos and also movies but the size of just 1X 20 second video was 23mega bits so I tried to email it and 4 hours later it was still going so I dumped it .
Matt Smith will be happy as it was going to him so having his computer tied up for 5 hours downloading a email may have got him miffed.
So tomorrow I am going even further away from green and getting a new gadget that is only for Youtube videos upload.

I built a small automata just a sailboat and some waves needed to see something working so I can get a better idea of the relitive movements of this flying horse.

Flying Boat April Start

OK after looking at a small drawing video by Keith Newstead I could not get the idea out of my head.
So what the heck why not start another Automata ?
Again the drawing for my art is very basic as I find i don't work to plans very well and to tell the truth the drawing was done on the art sheet after I had cut out the keel and figure head just to help with some rough lofting for the sides and shape of the hull ( as it turned out none of it fitted so, Hey!)
OK a bunch of photos over the last 2 days of what I want to make.

AT LAST 28th March

So it is to be a man riding a sit on scooter, he will run around a post that he has his hand on in the middle of the Automata the inner leg will swing so as to give the look of where he is powering the scooter and the outer leg will be straight out , there is the ever faithful dog in the corner watching his master go around ( head will follow the rider ) and on the other side there will be a rabbit that will duck as the rider get close with the outstreached leg.
I am now starting on the workings , although the rider still has some more work to go.
