petrol bowser

OK the main post for the stall Garage is now built first off I made a box from plywood the ripped apart some mesh from an old stand .
Then added some paint and a few bits of junk from around the workshop and over 3 days we have.

About the only part from a garage was the Shell sign.
All I have to do now is get some age into the body of the case over the next few months, this will happen just with it being carted 2 and from the markets and being set up and pulled down.
The tin on the corners has been dipped in acid to remove the zinc plating so any scratches will rust very quickly.
So that is it , 1 fancy post.

feb1

well all those nice new toys just vanished into the shed.
I have contacted the old Eumundi Markets and have a site on a fortnightly basic every 2nd Sat and I can start on the 27th Feb or the 13th MarchI am aiming for (at this point the 27th)
The stall this time is going back to the roots and I have designed a 3 meter wide garage from about 1930, I have started building a fake petrol pump which will stand about 2.2m high and in reality be the main post for the front of the stall, The roof will be 100 year old tin (corrugated iron) got 4 sheets from the building demolition guys at Yandina @4.2m
The Bowser will be SHELL as I have an old original round sign for Shell motor Spirit the top is some mesh from a display at the chemist and a lamp base is the top, the hose is from a washing machine and the filler is an old sandblasting nozzle,it i smade from 12mm ply and has tin corners that will be rusted and then painted with some rubber cement on some of them so when I rub the rubber off the thing will have an aged look.
Will load up some working photos a bit later when it looks more like it should.
The stall will be the Sculpture Garage.
